The door locks no longer exist or no longer belong to the people holding these keys,
it is the loss of a function. Despite this loss, the people that appear in these images keep pursuing the
goal of keeping their homes.

This photographic series corresponds to interviewees that have been or are being in the process
of eviction but, at the same time, are still struggling to get back their homes or get a place to live with dignity.

This irony of the keys’ loss of function corresponds with the irony of thousands of houses in Spain that lost their
function too and ceased functioning as dwellings. In change, currently, they belong to the banks and keep empty
and close.

Foreclosed is a 15 photograph series, shot alongside personal interviews in houses or assemblies in different
associated social centers of spaces where the PAH makes their meetings to guide and help people affected
by this problem.
